NIIT Foundation Refund and Cancellation Policy

At NIIT Foundation, we are committed to transparency and fostering trust with our donors. This policy outlines the conditions under which donations made through our website may be refunded or cancelled.

1. Donations are Non-Refundable

All donations made through our website are considered final and non-refundable. This ensures that your generous contributions are promptly directed toward our impactful programs, supporting initiatives such as youth skilling and livelihood development, community empowerment, children’s education, and women’s empowerment.

2. Exceptions for Refunds

While donations are typically non-refundable, we recognize that unintended errors can occur. Refunds may be granted under the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate Donations: If you accidentally make a duplicate donation, a full refund will be processed.
  • Erroneous Donations: If a technical error results in an unintended donation, please contact us immediately. After investigation, a full refund may be granted, if applicable.
  • Fraudulent Transactions: If you suspect unauthorized use of your payment method, report it to us immediately for review.

3. Additional Conditions for Refunds

  1. If it is determined through supporting documents that a case does not qualify under the exceptions outlined above, the refund request will not be granted.
  2. It is not compulsory for NIIT Foundation to reply to every email received. However, we will respond to emails where necessary and required, particularly those that align with this policy.

4. How to Request a Refund

If you believe your case qualifies for a refund under the exceptions mentioned above, please follow these steps:

  1. Timeline: Contact us within 5 business days of the donation.
  2. Details Required: Send an email to contact@niitfoundation.org with the following information:
    • Your full name
    • Donation amount
    • Date of donation
    • Brief explanation of the refund request
    • Relevant proof or documentation (e.g., payment confirmation, error screenshot, etc.)

Refunds will be processed after investigation, and any applicable bank charges may be deducted from the refunded amount.

5. Donation Cancellations

Donations cannot be cancelled once they have been processed. However, if you wish to discuss changes in the designation or allocation of your donation, contact us promptly at contact@niitfoundation.org.

6. Additional Information

  • International Donations: Refunds for international donations will be processed only if allowed under applicable laws and regulations.
  • Time Limit: Refund requests submitted more than 7 business days after the donation date cannot be processed.
  • Tax Certificates: Refunds cannot be issued once an 80G tax certificate has been generated in the donor’s name.
  • Bank Charges: Any additional bank charges incurred during the refund process will be deducted from the refunded amount.
